Useful information
Address: Via della Sorgente Claudia – Anguillara Sabazia.
History and description

Only a large semicircle with a chord of about 87 meters remains of the ancient Acqua Claudia Aqueduct. The left part is still visible.
The arch is graced by semi-circular niches separated by semi-columns.
The rear part of the exedra has a corridor that was originally covered with a walkable wooden floor and lit by a number of windows in the exedra itself.
The ends of this corridor used to be closed by two nymphaeums. These served as fountains and were fed by cisterns on the complex.
Almost the entire structure is covered with wedge-shaped flint blocks, from which it is inferred that it dates from the 1st century BC.
