History and Description.
Construction of the Chiesa dell’Annunciata was started in 1368 by Cardinal Filippo Gezza. However, it was not consecrated until 1544, by Bishop Marcantonio Croce. This bishop was also responsible for many of the ornaments in the church.
Over the centuries, the church has fallen into disrepair. The monument, although no longer used as a church, was restored not long ago.
