Chiesa Nuova Tivoli
Useful information
Address: Strada di Pomata, 3-15 – 00019 – Tivoli.
History and description
The Chiesa Nuova was originally founded in 1694 by a Jesuit named Michele Sardelli. Sardelli had chosen the spot because the Strada di Pomata was still a busy road in those days.
The appearance of the church, which consists of a single space, is rustic. Irregular shaped stones were used for the walls.
The impression, thanks to the surrounding olive trees, is extremely picturesque.
