Madonna Addolorata Church

The first version of the Chiesa della Madonna Addolorata dates back to the 16th century, but its current appearance is the result of a renovation that became necessary after the town was bombed in 1943.

The church was founded after a plague epidemic in 1525. From then on, the less well-off part of the population was buried near this church.

The facade consists of two levels. The two statues in the niches in the upper part depict “San Martino di Atessa” and “San Gabriele dell’Addolorata”.

The interior has a single nave.
