History and description

The San Michele Church already existed in the 7th century, as indicated by a plaque inside the church itself.
However, its current appearance is the result of a major renovation that took place towards the end of the 18th century.
In 1844, the bell tower was added. It was partially destroyed in the Second World War, but restored again three years later.
What to see
The facade is framed by two wide double Corinthian pillars, which support the entablature. Above this is a balustrade.
The central section is characterised by wide stripes of bossage. Above the gate is a bas-relief with a sword, a cuirass and a scale, the symbols of San Michele.
