History and description

The Gagosian Gallery was inaugurated in 2007, with a Cy Twombly exhibition, and is the first European Gagosian Gallery after the one in London.

The building itself used to be a banking hall.

The main space of the gallery consists of a large oval room, with a gently curving wall, curving just enough in fact to be able to accommodate painting exhibitions.

Present Gagosian Gallery exhibition

The current exhibition is titled: “Pat Steir. Paintings, Part II”. It will last until August 31st, 2022.

September 8th will see the opening of “Setsuko. Into the Trees II”. This exhibition will finish on October 31st.
