The official name of Milan‘s Malpensa Airport, which is actually located in the province of Varese, is Aeroporto Città di Milano. It is the second largest airport in Italy after the Roman airport Fiumicino.

Public transportation from Malpensa to Milan
It is fairly easy to travel by public transport from the airport to the center of Milan. There are both bus and train connections.
The Malpensa Express is a train that runs from the airport to the Milano Caderna (travel time 25 minutes), Milano Centrale (52 minutes) and Milano Porta Garibaldi stations. This train leaves every 30 minutes.
Centrale and Porta Garibaldi are the stations where most tourists should get off.
There are 4 companies that provide a direct connection between Milano Centrale station and Terminal 1 and 2 at Malpensa. These are Terravision, Malpensa Bus Express (Autostradale), Malpensa Shuttle (Air Pullman) and Caronte. Travel times are around one hour.
At the moment (June 2021), the Malpensa Bus Express is the only one of the four that also runs to the Milano Fiera.
The price of a taxi from Malpensa to the centre of Milan is 70 Euros. There is a cab rank at the arrivals hall of both Terminal 1 (first floor, exit gate 6) and Terminal 2 (exit gate 4).
For travelers traveling on the A8 to Malpensa, take the BUSTO ARSIZIO – MALPENSA exit and then follow the SS336 in the direction of GALLARATE – MALPENSA.
For travelers traveling on the A4, turn off at the MARCALLO MESERO exit, follow the signs to MARCALLO – MESERO – MALPENSA and then take the SS336DIR to MALPENSA- A8 – MILAN – VARESE.
Car rental companies
All major companies have an office in Terminal 1. In Terminal 2, these are only AVIS and EUROPCAR.
Other Milan airports
Bergamo Orio al Serio
Bergamo Orio al Serio is the airport mainly used by RyanAir and is actually not located in Milan (although RyanAir paints it as such), but near Bergamo. Orio Shuttle and Air Shuttle Nord operate between Orio al Serio and Malpensa.
Milan’s own second airport is called Linate, which is closer to the centre than Malpensa. The companies Malpensa Shuttle and Air Shuttle Nor operate a service between Linate and Malpensa. (The former, however, does not operate until further notice, due to the Covid crisis.)

You are wrong!
Malpensa airport is located in the province of Varese, not Bergamo.
I was definitely wrong, thank you for taking the trouble to point this out!
