Description
The Mercato Amico Farmer’s Market is only open during the weekend and offers the visitor an excellent opportunity to buy some fresh Italian delicacies and other specialties for the trip home and for gifts to friends and family.
The products sold at the Farmer’s market were all grown in the province of Rome itself and are sold by the farmers themselves, who will also tell you about their methods of cultivation (though you might need some Italian to be able to understand them, but that makes it all the more authentic, doesn’t it?).
What you can be sure of is that the quality will be high, costs will be low (everything is home grown and there is no supply chain in-between to bring up the prices) and everything you can get at the market will be in season, and very tasty.
