History and description
Built in the 19th century, the church was originally intended as a home for destitute young girls. In 1860 it was converted into a rest home and hospital for elderly nuns.
Under the tympanum one can read the motto Redemisti nos Domine in sanguine tuo, which means as much as “We shall be saved in Your blood.”
Nowadays the oratory is attached to the house of the Suore Adoratrici del Sangue di Cristo (“Sisters Worshippers of the Blood of Christ”) and belongs to the parish of Santi Marcellino e Pietro al Laterano.
