The Palazzo Bosdari is a historic building in the oldest district of Ancona. Today it is the seat of a pinacotheque with a modern art gallery. It was built in the Middle Ages and restored in 1560, probably by Pellegrino Tibaldi.

Palazzo Bosdari Ancona
The Palazzo Bosdari was originally built in the Middle Ages. In 1550 it was bought by the grave family Bosdari, who originated from Dalmatia. Around the year 1560, restoration began, probably under the direction of Pellegrino Tibaldi.
The main attractions of the palace are the medieval tower and the frescoes in the piano nobile.
The façade is characterized by three rows of windows, all with different entablatures. There are two stone entrance doors.
Galleria d’Arte Moderna Ancona
After being damaged during World War II, the palace was restored towards the end of the 1960s and from 1973 it has housed the Pinacoteca Civica “Francesco Podesti” with the Galleria d’Arte Moderna.
