The Parco dell’Ombrellino is a public park just outside the historical center of Frascati. There are several playgrounds in this park. The gate giving access from the Piazza della Porticella has recently been restored.

History and description
The Parco dell’Ombrellino has a couple of children playgrounds and also a small volleyball court. The Casa Pia library is accessible from the park.
The main entrance is through a rather enormous gate from the Piazza della Porticella.
Before it became a public park, the Parco dell’Ombrellino was property of the Lancelotti family. It owes its present name to a small fountain with a statue of a cupid with an umbrella. This fountain does not exist anymore.
What to see
Fontana della Cavallerizza
The Fontana della Cavallerizza is a monumental fountain in the back of the park. It used to have a life-size statue in the center, depicting ” Hercules and the Hydra of Lerna.”
