Parioli District Rome

The second quartiere of Rome is called Parioli. It is named for a group of hills, the Monti Parioli. The district was created in order to construct homes for officials of the state and fascist leaders, but nowadays it has become an area where the wealthier Romans live.

The biggest attraction in the Parioli district is Renzo Piano‘s Auditorium Parco della Musica.

The Palazzetto dello Sport and the Flaminio Stadium are to be found in Parioli, and so is the Villa Ada park, which often hosts concerts in the summer months.

The Grande Moschea di Roma can also be found in Parioli.
