History and description
The restaurant’s specialties are both Indian and Pakistani, which is not a surprise taking the name of the place into account. The dishes are prepared following traditional recipes of the Kashmir region.
You can either order typical Mughlai and Tandoori dishes à la carte or you can choose a from one of three fixed price menus: meat, vegetarian and fish. The menus cost around 20 Euros and consist of a mixed plate of delicious starters, a choice of soups, rice, a choice of main and side dishes and a dessert.
During lunch hours, the restaurant is divided into two parts. The door on the left leads to the usual restaurant, whereas the door to the right leads to more of a takeaway area. Here you can order the special thali, a big plate consisting of rice, a meat dish and two vegetable ones, raita and naan. The price is around 10 Euros and you will have a hard time finishing it all.
Himalaya’s Kashmir is open all year, also on holidays. In the summer it is air-conditioned and there are also some side walk tables.
Take away service available.
