History and description
The San Nicola Church was originally built in the 12th century. However, later renovations have given the church a more Renaissance-like appearance.
The only part of the facade that is not so well preserved is the portal. The plaque above this portal refers to late 16th century renovations.
The coat of arms below the tympanum is that of the then bishop.
The church had only one altar. The main decoration was a painting depicting “San Nicola.”
