History and description

The church, attached to the Convent of the Poor Clares, has a portal surmounted by an broken tympanum. The facade is crowned by a Baroque bell gable.
What to see
The interior has a single nave covered by a barrel vault and boasts a richly decorated wall altar set between two side niches with statues of St. Francis and St. Clare. Four other altars with 19th-century paintings are placed along the nave.
Above the entrance portal is a large brick choir loft accessed by a wooden staircase. This ancient matroneum was built so that the Poor Clares could participate in religious rites without breaking the vow of silence.
