The Santa Maria delle Coste Church in Accumoli is also known as the Chiesa della Madonna delle Coste. It was reconstructed by Giacinto Camerari in 1638. The main attraction is a 13th century image of the “Madonna and Child on a Throne”, which was incorporated into a larger composition 3 centuries later.

History and description
According to a plaque inside the church, the Santa Maria delle Coste Church was reconstructed in 1638 by Giacinto Camerari.
The main attraction of the church is a “Madonna and Child on the Throne” from the 13th century. The panel was painted by an unknown artist from Abruzzo.
In the 16th century, the head of the Madonna was placed within a larger composition. The center of this panel shows a breastfeeding Madonna. The side panels depict six events in the life of Mary.
On Pentecost, a solemn Mass takes place, ending in a procession.
