History and description
Walking from the Palazzo dello Sport to the artificial lake in the district of EUR, one passes a group of surrealist abstract statues on the left.
The monument was built in 1988 and its name, Vascello della Rivoluzione (“Ship of the Revolution”) is meant to honor the French Revolution, which had taken place 2 centuries before.
The Vascello della Rivoluzione was made by Ugo Accardi and before it was placed its present and permanent site in Rome it was part of an exhibition in Paris.
